Maneka Gandhi likely to be pro-tem speaker in 17th Lok Sabha

Gandhi, 62, a veteran BJP leader, had won from the Sultanpur seat in Uttar Pradesh.

Sultanpur MP Maneka Gandhi (62) is likely to be the pro tem speaker of the new Lok Sabha. As the temporary speaker, the former union minister will administer oath to the newly elected MPs and preside over the sitting of the Lok Sabha to elect its speaker.
