In his complaint to the police, the victim also alleged that the brothers from an ‘upper caste’ family forced him to drink their urine and pulled his moustache.

Police had registered an FIR under sections 323 (Voluntarily causing grievous hurt), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) 506 (criminal intimidation) 342 (wrongful confinement) and relevant sections of the SC/ST Act.
