2 LeT OGWS arrested, 3 hideouts busted
Two Lashkar-e-Taiba overground workers have been arrested and three hideouts have been busted.
Two Lashkar-e-Taiba overground workers were arrested and three hideouts in Jammu, Poonch and Doda districts of Jammu and Kashmir were busted on Tuesday, official sources said.
Police arrested one OGW of Lashkar-e-Taiba Shahzad Hussain in Udhayanpur area of Doda district and recovered a grenade from him, they said.
One more OGW of LeT, Mushtaq, was arrested on the information of Doda police from Nagrota area of Jammu district on Tuesday, they said.
On specific information, a joint team of Rashitrya Rifles and police busted a militant hideout in Degrund Nullah of Gandoh Tehsil in Doda District, they said, adding the hideout belonged to the LeT.
The recoveries from the hideout included two charger shells, four rounds of AK ammunition, seven rounds of SLR, one country made rifle, one binocular and one pouch.
They also recovered sixty kgs of rice, forty kgs of flour, seven kgs of mixed dal, six kgs of ghee, two litres of kerosene oil, two stoves, two plastic cans and four blankets, they said.
Army troops also busted a hideout in Moula check-Garkhial area of Kanachak area of Jammu district on Tuesday and recovered two AK rifles, 250 rounds and four magazines, they said.
One more hideout was busted in Mehrota area in Surankote teshil of Poonch district today and one Chinese pistol, one magazine, six rounds and 80 pika rounds were recovered, they said.
