A 28-year-old man brutally stabbed his father to death in the Banthla area of Loni on Monday morning. He suspected his father of having bad intentions for his younger daughter-in-law, police said.
But family members allege that the murder happened due to a property dispute.
On Monday morning, Manoj Singh walked into Loni police station with a large blood-stained knife and surrendered himself before the police. He admitted that he had stabbed his 55-year-old father Inderjeet Chaudhary to death at his shop.
“The accused told us that his father had bad intentions towards his younger brother’s wife,” senior superintendent of police Raghubir Lal said.
However, the victim’s family have denied their son’s allegations and said the incident occurred due to a land dispute.
Manoj wanted them to sell the 12 bighas of family land, valued around R4 crore, and wanted his share, they allege.
