A fresh batch of 617 pilgrims left Jammu on Friday for the Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir.
The batch, which includes 51 women, two children and 199 sadhus left in a fleet of 20 vehicles from the base camp of MAM stadium this morning, officials said.

Over 2.7 lakh pilgrims had visited the cave shrine till Thursday evening.
Of them around 1.46 lakh devotees used the traditional Pahalgam route and 1.27 lakh travelled on the shorter Baltal route to reach the shrine, a Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) spokesman said.
