LIFW is set to invade our collective psyche. In a nation obsessed with glamour, this week long extravaganza is the ultimate fashion nirvana. With a new stable of designers waiting in the wings, makeup maestros Jojo, Clint and Ambika armed with the latest make-up wands and choreographers planning their ramp moves, the air at the Grand is steaming with a euphoric fashion cloud.

What can one expect in this column? The latest trends in make-up, the newest beauty innovations and the season’s cosmetic trends. The three make-up artists will endure 11 gruelling shows, dreaming up faces that will inspire. Expect to see a creative palette of summer hues on the best faces in the country.

Designers Aki Narula, Anamika Khanna and Anshu Arora Sen put together a great show with their fashion translations of the Lakme Fruit Shock Summer 2004 Collection. While Narula is sending out his red crush collection, Anshu Arora Sen will pop bright pinks and Anamika Khanna bursts a selection of rich, plum coloured fruit.
