The Allahabad High Court website crashed today after tens of thousands tried to access the portal ahead of the Ayodhya land dispute verdict.

The website had earlier reported that the judgement will be delivered at 4 pm. But for the last half hour, the site has been inaccessible.

On twitter, a user lamented: "In wake of Ayodhya verdict, Allahabad High Court website has badly crashed... And I have slim hopes (for) quick restoration either...Hey Ram!"

The Ayodha verdict, to be delivered by the Lucknow bench of the high court, was among the top two topics on Twitter, the other being Hollywood actor Tony Curtis who died on Thursday.
