Arunachal Pradesh Governor VC Pande has dissolved the 60-member State Assembly on the recommendations of Chief Minister Gegong Apang, an official notification said.
The decision to dissolve the house was taken at a meeting of the Council of Ministers on Tuesday just after the completion of the downsizing exercise.

The size of the ministry was reduced from 33 to the stipulated 12 after 21 ministers resigned from the BJP-led United Democratic Front government in the state.
Assembly elections are due in the state in September next.
