A teenaged Hindu boy was nabbed late on Monday by the city police for sending out tweets in which he threatened more bomb blasts in Bengaluru, formerly known as Bangalore.

The boy, who is a first year engineering student, created a fake account using the name Abdul Khan and claimed responsibility for Sunday's blast on Church Street. He also tagged Union home minister Rajnath Singh in a tweet where he said that there will be more blasts if pro-ISIS Twitter account handler Mehdi Biswas is not released. In one tweet he said, "I am Abdul the one behind Bangalore blast yesterday. In 2 days 2 more blast. I challenge catch me if you can. Police my foot. ISIS (Sic.)"

"An FIR has been filed and we will ascertain if he is a minor or not and if he is indeed mentally ill. The boy is studying in a college that's located outside Bengaluru and was home for he vacations.

A flurry of tweets from the boy, whose identity is being kept secret, lest he turns out to be a minor, created considerable panic in the city.
