After Thursday's robbery, the police had intensified patrolling. Sources said they had taken break at 4 pm and within 30 minutes robbers struck again.

On Friday, two men entered the State Bank of India’s Sector 12 branch and robbed Rs 10.80 lakh, with a real pistol this time.

"Two people in the age group of 25 to 30 years went in, posing as customers. One of them downed the shutter. They snatched Rs 10.80 lakh from the cash counter," said Senior Superintendent of Police, RK Chaturvedi.

The police said the shutter got struck and they broke the back window to escape. "It appeared they were on motorcycle," an official said.

"Sketches were being prepared on basis of information given by the staff," said Chaturvedi.

On Thursday, two unidentified persons wearing helmets flashed a toy gun at security guards in a bank. The police said the guards could not make out that it was a fake gun. One of them went to the cash counter and snatched Rs 5 lakh.
