At least 12 people were injured in a clash between BJP & CPM activists in Dahanu constituency on the eve of Lok Sabha polls. The party activists clashed over the issue of distribution of voter slips.

At least 12 people, including a woman, were injured in a clash between BJP and CPM activists in Talasari taluka of the district under the Dahanu constituency on the eve of Lok Sabha polls here, police said.

The party activists clashed over the issue of distribution of voter slips and cross complaints have been registered, police said, adding, both the groups used stones, sticks and iron rods freely.

The injured have been admitted to hospital at Dahanu.

The Superintendent of Police Rural R B Pawar accompanied by Assistant Superintendent of Police Sharad Shelar have rushed to the spot with additional force.

The taluka has four hyper-sensitive polling booths.
