CHAUDHARI MAHADEV Prasad (CMP) Degree College students on Wednesday shouted slogans against college management and tried to disrupt a meeting of teachers and non-teaching staff.

CHAUDHARI MAHADEV Prasad (CMP) Degree College students on Wednesday shouted slogans against college management and tried to disrupt a meeting of teachers and non-teaching staff. The meeting was discussing the issue of sexual harassment of female students by a teacher of the Chemistry Department.

The teacher had allegedly tried to molest a student of B Sc -II of the college on March 17. The students assembled at Chemistry Department in large numbers after finishing their Wednesday's examination and started shouting slogans. The teachers' meeting, called by the Head of the Chemistry Department Dr VK Sinha, was going on at the department.

The students accused the college administration of hushing up the matter and shielding the accused. CMP students' union president Dhananjay Singh, general secretary Anurag Shukla and other office-bearers led the protest.
