Congress to bring out chargesheet against Modi

Stepping up its campaign for the Gujarat Assembly polls, the Congress on Saturday said it would "unmask" the "misdeeds" of Chief Minister Narendra Modi by bringing out a "chargesheet" against his government next month.
"We will bring out a chargesheet against the Modi government next month," AICC General Secretary B K Hariprasad told PTI.
Congress has been highlighting the "misgovernance" of the Modi-led administration through its various regional rallies in the run up to the December election.
The Congress has been attacking the Modi government for its "failure" on the law and order front, particularly highlighting the rape and murder of two girls in Saurashtra and problems of farmers across the state.
Hariprasad suggested that the party was inclined to give tickets to all nine BJP rebel MLAs but the final decision would be taken after October 26 following receipt of report from the Gujarat PCC.
The state PCC has been asked to consult concerned local units and give their recommendation report.
The BJP has already given enough hints that it is in no mood to expel the rebel legislators and has even gone the extra mile to placate a sulking Keshubhai Patel to corner the detractors.
Top party sources said that Patel, a known detractor of Modi, has been assured by the leadership a sizeable say in ticket distribution in the key Saurashtra constituency, which can tilt the scales in the tussle with the Congress.
Saurashtra, a stronghold of Patel, had backed the BJP handsomely in the last polls alongwith central Gujarat which made mincemeat of the Congress challenge.
