A clinical research is a scientific study of the effects, risks, efficacy and benefits of a medicinal product. These are carried out prior to the release of the medicine in the market. Basic duties include collection of clinical data from physicians and patients, Designing Case Report Forms (CRF’s), Managing Contract Research Organizations (CRO's), Data analysis and classification of CRF's, Monitoring investigational sites etc.

Sports physiotherapy:
Basically, the job profile of a sports physiotherapist is the same as a physiotherapist. The only difference is that SP’s are a little more aggressive than them. Things like how to prepare for training, what should they avoid, what is the right technique to play the game, what should be the ideal weight of the bat or the girth of the racket, etc are dealt by sports physiotherapists.

Work Opportunities:
You would work in a team with coaches, other health care professionals and sports scientists. You could specialise in a particular sport, or in a particular aspect of physiotherapy, such as rehabilitation.You could work in private practice, in health and fitness clubs and leisure centres, or for sport associations or clubs.
You could combine working in sports physiotherapy with other general physiotherapy work, or train in additional therapies, such as acupuncture. Another option would be to take further training and move into ergonomics.

Sports Management:
Sports Management as the name suggests is an educational program designed for sport enthusiasts to gain a thorough understanding of the management of sports – be it Cricket, Football, Tennis, Rugby, Horse Racing, Golf or Formula –1. In short it’s a mix of sport and business in which the principles of management, business leadership and teamwork are applied to sports.

Work Opportunities:
Careers as agents, managers, publicists etc exist for those with a degree in sports management. Cricket being the dominant sport in India, most jobs centre around it especially in event management companies. As a sports manager of say a cricketer, will involve you in maintaining the player’s schedules, career progressions, business promotion, media and public relations. That not all, you will also be responsible for budgeting, finance and other logistics and the whole gamut of activities that goes into packaging and marketing him as a brand.
