Motorists and commuters find it extremely difficult to see traffic signals at Sectors 15, 31, 51 and 57 as these signals are covered by overgrown trees or hoardings. "Traffic signals at some key junctions are not visible to commuters. This causes fatal accidents. Many signal posts are not visible to motorists as these are hindered by trees or hoardings," said Mohit Sharma, a daily commuter.

The defunct signals require immediate attention of the traffic police as people, including women, children and senior citizens, find crossing roads extremely difficult. Sometimes, motorists zoom past without even noticing the signals.

Meanwhile, traffic police officials said they had already removed hoardings which covered traffic signals.

"We have constituted a committee to find out about defunct signals and informed Huda and MCG, so that they can take immediate action," said Bharti Arora, DCP (traffic), Gurgaon.
