Subscribers of mobile Reliance Service on Tuesday received SMS from the Election Commission stating "Please exercise your right to Vote - Election Commission".

The contestants of the main parties in the fray - Congress, BJP and Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) - too went hi-tech using SMS, internet, television channels to carry their messages to the voters.
