The government has flagged preservation and propagation of state's rich culture and heritage as an important area.

"Our strategy is to fine-tune the tourism development activities with the cultural affinity of the area," Abdullah said.
Addressing the gathering after a book release function here yesterday, the chief minister highlighted the importance of books and said they "enrich one's knowledge about multi-faceted aspects of life, people, area and civilisation".
