'Explain money taken from NRI students'

The Allahabad HC asked a UP-based medical college to reveal details of the money taken from NRI students.
The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday asked a Ghaziabad-based medical college to reveal details of the money taken from students admitted under the NRI quota.
Hearing a petition filed by Dr Monika Kumar, Justice Arun Tandon also asked the Principal and the Managing Director of Santosh Medical College to disclose the perks they were getting in the form of house rent allowances, dearness allowance and transport allowance.

In her petition Dr Monika Kumar alleged that her father was made to pay a sum of Rs 75 lakh to get her and her brother enrolled in the MBBS course in the college under the NRI quota.
