The 17-year-old from Jalna was allegedly raped twice by two men, first on July 6 and for the second time after police set her up as "bait" to reach the culprits.

According to the victim, the police reportedly used her to set a trap for the accused -- even before an FIR could be filed and she could be sent for a medical examination on July 7 when she tried to file a complaint.

The victim was used for another trap planned by the police on July 9, when she was allegedly raped again.

The accused are reported to have taken the victim's cellphone and shot a video of the initial incident on July 6.

According to the police, the alleged rapists were demanding Rs 2,000 for returning her cellphone after which the authorities decided to use the girl to trap them.
