Farmers of villages along Yamuna Expressway on Saturday decided to move court over the issue of forcible acquisition of land. They are not satisfied with the R34 per sqm hike approved by the authority.
Farmers under the aegis of Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) held a meeting at Roniza village and decided to file petitions in the court. “The Rs 34 hike approved by the board was farmers’ dues pending with the authority. Our demand is that the authority should pay us at the rate of R1,400 per sqm, the amount decided during the Patwari pact,”
