Jaipur, Jul 6 (PTI) Five persons, including two children, have been killed in rains related mishaps in Rajasthan, police said.

Three youths drowned in a reservoir filled with rain water at Jhinjhinyali village of Jaisalmer district, they said, adding the youths had gone there for a swim.

In another incident, two boys drowned in the basement of a house filled with rain water at Pratapnagar locality of Jodhpur last night, police said.

Heavy rains lashed parts of Jodhpur and Udaipur divisions affecting rail and road services.

Bilara recorded a maximum rainfall of 3 inches followed by Jodhpur one inch, a Met department said.

After a fortnight of lull, Jaipur received southwest monsoon showers yesterday giving respite from hot and humid weather. The Pink City recorded a maximum rainfall of 58 mm.

Monsoon is expected to continue in all parts of the state over the next 24 hours, the Met department said.
