“Rajnath Singh lost several elections from Mirzapur. I was told by the party to start working for Salempur seat after the delimitation. I worked hard for two years as per the instructions, but when it came to allotting a ticket, it was given to a JD(U) candidate Pappu Singh, who has several criminal cases against him. This was done on the instructions of Rajnath Singh. I was overlooked due to the game of money-power and internal politics. The BJP chief initiated this move out of jealousy,” Singh said.

Singh further alleged that he had been apprising the party leadership, including LK Advani, Jaswant Singh, Rajnath Singh etc, verbally and through letters.

“I have received no response although they admit that injustice has been done to me,” Singh said.

“When Advaniji can fight from Gandhinagar, when Atal Bihari Vajpayee can fight from Lucknow, Vidisha and Gonda, why has Rajnath Singh chosen Ghaziabad? I am here not to seek votes but to tell people how money, personal interests and internal politics have overtaken the BJP values and ethics,” Singh told media-persons.

Virendra Singh reiterated that he was a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker and was with the BJP. “I am with the BJP, as I believe in Hindutva and Swadeshi. My fight is against injustice,” Singh said.
