Four Naxals arrested in Nagpur
Four members of a Naxal outfit are arrested in Nagpur and an automatic pistol recovered from them.
Four members of a Naxal outfit were arrested in Nagpur and an automatic pistol recovered from them, a senior police said on Wednesday.
"The hardcore Naxals were picked up by Crime Branch sleuths near Deekshabhoomi in west city area on Tuesday with a nine mm pistol," Additional Commissoner of Police (Crime), Bhushan Upadhyaya, said.
Police also recovered photographs of two police officers from their possession and some Naxal literatue.
The leader of the group was Murli alias Mahesh Reddy who was wanted by police from neighbouring states. He was operating in Salekasa and Darekasa terrain in Maharashtra's Gondia district, police sources said.
The Crime Branch has sent teams to various destinaions to gather more information about the dreaded Naxal, he said.
The other three arrested were identified as Dhananjay alias Dhannu Burli, Naresh Bansod and Arun Kumar Perrera.
