Those who pre-order Resident Evil 6 on Xbox 360 and PS3 will receive a free copy of the Resident Evil: Afterlife film on Blu-ray, which retails for Rs. 1,299.
Pre-order Borderlands 2 on any platform and you gain access to the Borderlands 2 Premiere Club that will allow you to download a new playable class, new weapons as well as a rare in-game item.
Freebies galore
At Gamescom 2012, Sony announced a new cross-purchase feature called Crossbuy, whereby gamers who purchased certain PS3 games, would get the Vita version absolutely free. This offer is applicable on certain upcoming first-party titles. like Playstation All Stars: Battle Royale, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time and Ratchet & Clank: Q Force. EA also plans on including Need for Speed: Most Wanted in this offer, but nothing has been confirmed so far.
Xbox 360 gets price increase
Microsoft has recently increased the price of the Xbox 360 console in India. The standalone 4 GB and 250 GB consoles are now priced Rs. 15,990 and Rs. 26,990 respective, up by Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 3,000. The 4 GB Kinect bundle now retails for Rs. 26,990, up Rs. 2,000. While the company declined to comment on the reasons for the hike, the struggling rupee seems to be the culprit. To compensate for the increase, however, Microsoft is giving away one to three free games with each console. This offer will be valid all through September.
