Ganga water level on the rise
THE FLOW of river Ganga is on the rising trend in several districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh including Varanasi, Allahabad, Phaphamau, Mirzapur, Ghazipur and Ballia. According to reports of Central Water Commission, the water level of Ganga was recorded at 63.275 meter in Varanasi on Saturday morning while the water level of Ganga is recorded at 67.925 meter in Mirzapur on Saturday morning.

According to reports of Central Water Commission, the water level of Ganga was recorded at 63.275 meter in Varanasi on Saturday morning while the water level of Ganga is recorded at 67.925 meter in Mirzapur on Saturday morning.
Several stairs of ghats were dipped in the floodwater in Varanasi. Several makeshift shopkeepers shifted their establishments to the safer places in apprehension of floods. The way to ghat was also submerged in the floodwater and it has become difficult for the visitors to go from one ghat to another.
As per reports of the Central Water Commission, the water level of Ganga was recorded at 57.340 meter in Ghazipur district on Saturday. In Ballia, the water level was recorded at 54.350 metre.
Ganga water was also on the rising trend in Allahabad and recorded at 75.100 meter on Saturday morning. In Phaphamu, the level of Ganga water was recorded at 78.540 meter today. Similarly, the water level of river Gomti was also on rise at Sultanpur and was recorded at 81.190 metres.
