Gurgaon boy tops Class X in CBSE’s Panchkula region
The Delhi Public School-Maruti Kunj student Sachin Yadav has topped Central Board of Secondary Education’s Panchkula region in the Class X boards, report Sanjeev K Ahuja & Prabhu Razdan.

Scoring 99 marks each in four of his five papers — Math, Social Studies, Science and Hindi — Yadav aggregated 98.6 per cent. Even in English, he notched up 97 marks.
For all his high marks, Yadav is no bookworm. A district-level chess champion, he said, “Sports reduce the stress of examinations. I set aside enough time for watching cricket on TV as well as playing.”
Yadav is aiming high for the future. “I have plans to take up science, chemistry and mathematics as my main subjects. I am also preparing for the IIT entrance. Eventually, I would like to crack the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) test.”
Yadav has done his entire schooling at DPS. His father SS Yadav is an inspector with the excise and taxation department while his mother is a homemaker.
The second rank in Gurgaon went to Karthik Kotturu of DAV Public School. Kotturu scored 97.6 per cent marks overall, with 99 marks each in Sanskrit and Mathematics.
Faridabad
Mohit Aggarwal (17) of Faridabad topped the district securing 98.2 per cent marks in the Class X Boards.
Aggarwal is a student of Modern Vidya Niketan (MVN), Faridabad. Another MVN student and Aggarwal’s senior, Nitin Jain, had topped the Indian Institute of Technology-Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) results declared on Monday.
