Hard facts hit Asian docs in UK
I am a doctor working in UK in one of the hospitals in Manchester. The UK government till now needed doctors from Indian subcontinent to be able to provide services to their people. I am a doctor working in UK in one of the hospitals in Manchester. The UK government till now needed doctors from Indian subcontinent to be able to provide services to their people. Now since the local medical schools have started producing their own breed of medical doctors, the government has suddenly turned their back on us.
The situation now is that there are thousands of Indian doctors who are stranded in UK. These are the doctors who have struggled hard to pass their exams, invested lakhs of hard earned money and now stand to lose everything they had aspired for.
Thanks to the unjust and unfair visa regulations imposed by the UK government. According to the new laws the doctors of Indian origin will be forced to leave UK with immediate effect.
To fight against this injustice, most doctors are gearing up to voice their concerns. We are planning to stage a protest march in front of the Department of health office in London in the next few weeks.
We reckon there would be a few thousand doctors who would stand to fight for their rights of being treated equally as medical professionals and as humans.
