Haryana adds more items to essential services list
The state government has added 21 items to its existing list of 15 essential services that departments have to deliver in a time-bound manner, Gurgaon deputy commissioner PC Meena said on Tuesday.

Speaking at the Panch-Sarpanch Sammelan organised in the Kingdom of Dreams, Meena said that eight out of the 36 services are related to ration cards, including issue of new cards, addition of family member or change of address. The time frame fixed to deliver these services is 3 to 15 days.
Also, 10 services are related to the transport regulatory body. It includes registering and licensing authorities for which SDO (civil) is the designated officer. The time frame to deliver services ranges from 5 to 7 days.
Release of new electricity connection, temporary connection and enhancement of load has to be completed in 30 days. After the change, applications for a new water or sewerage connection, under the Public Health Engineering department, have to be cleared in 12 days.
Moreover, the deadline for birth and death registration has been fixed at three days.
