HCL Q2 net down 35.25%
HCL Infosystems reported a 35.25 per cent dip in net profit at Rs 22.09 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005.
Leading IT company HCL Infosystems Ltd on Tuesday reported a 35.25 per cent dip in net profit at Rs 22.09 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 34.12 crore for the same quarter last fiscal.
Total income however grew to Rs 546.81 crore for the second quarter this fiscal from Rs 506.99 crore in the year-ago period, up 7.87 per cent, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Also, the board declared a second interim dividend of Rs 2 per fully paid up equity shares of Rs 2 each, for the financial year 2005-06.
The Group posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 63.77 crore for the second quarter this fiscal as against Rs 60.10 crore for the corresponding quarter during the previous fiscal.
Consolidated total income of the group increased to Rs 2799.65 crore for Q2 FY 05-06 from Rs 2001.09 crore during Q2 FY 04-05.
At the meeting held on Tuesday, the board also appointed Narasimhan Jegadeesh and VN Koura as additional directors.
