The distribution points of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company were waterlogged due to heavy rains forcing company officials to disconnect power supply throughout the night, said the reports reaching headquarter.
The hutment areas also witnessed waterlogging, it said.
A 45-year-old farmer was killed at Kalwan tehsil town due to lightning last evening while his wife and daughter sustained burn injuries, police said.
In view of incessant rains in Nashik district, the irrigation department has released thousands of cusecs water from Darna, Gangapur, Palkhed Dams resulting in the increase of water level of river Godavari, sources said.
Rains began lashing the city at around 8 pm last night and remained continue till Saturday.
