Hizb militant killed in Bandipora

A self-styled battalion commander of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit has been killed in an encounter with security forces in Bandipora district.
A self-styled battalion commander of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit was on Thursday killed in an encounter with security forces in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.
The gun-battle ensued during the joint search operations by Army and Police in the villages at Bandipora around 6 am on Thursday morning, the sources said.

The slain militant has been identified as Muneer Ali, a battalion commander of Hizbul Mujahideen, the sources added.
