A self-styled commander of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit was arrested by security forces in Baramulla district on Friday.

Khalid Fareed Shah alias "Suhail", who was operating for the last eight years, was arrested by a joint search party of police and Rashtriya Rifles from Ningli village in Sopore, 55 kms from Srinagar, official sources said.

Shah was functioning as a top commander of the outfit and was wanted in a large number of militancy-related incidents.
