After winning their first engagement against the Karnataka Lions on Friday, home advantage didn't work for the Rajpal Singh-led side, as an early strike by Strykers' Mario Almada dented their hopes.

Trailing by a goal in the opening quarter, the Wizards came back in the second when Philip Sunkel drew parity, Thereafter the Strkers' goalkeeper, Gurpreet Singh, saved the day with some agile saves and proved to be big hurdle in Delhi's path to victory.

Showcause notices

Chandigarh: Some members of the Indian men's hockey team that won the Olympic Qualifiers recently have been served show-cause notices for not turning up for their respective franchises in the World Series Hockey.

Bhopal Badshahs have served a show-cause notice on Shivendra Singh, while the Chennai franchise have served a notice on India skipper Bharat Chhetri for speaking against the WSH.

After making it to the Olympics, all the members of the winning squad have refused to participate in the rebel league, being organised by Nimbus Sports and the IHF.
