Ditto can be said about the collection on the first day. At few multiplexes, the film opened with around 60 per cent while evening shows were better.
At other multiplexes, the opening collection was between 20 and 30 percent and of course the evening shows showed rise in the collection.
The scenario was the same mixed one in Delhi, Kolkata, Pune, Hyderabad and Bangalore — the film opened well at few multiplexes and ranged between dull to good in others. Collections at single screens were however, disheartening.
Tradewallahs believe that the first weekend hasn’t been fruitful and indications are that business will dip further in the coming days. The only saving grace is that there’s no big film expected to release the coming Friday.
Lacklustre week
Going by the first week collection of Priyadarshan’s Billu, the film is an average success, though the collection is best in Mumbai, Delhi and overseas.
Other two releases — Manish Gupta’s The Stoneman Murders and R Anand Kumar’s Jugaad joined the duds of the year so far.
