IIM-A students join hands with ATS to counter terror
Students of Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad joined hands with the state Anti Terrorist Squad to train college-going youths on ow to handle terror strikes.
Students of Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad joined hands with the state Anti Terrorist Squad to impart training on how to handle terror strikes to youth from 50 degree colleges in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.
"We have collaborated with the students of IIM-A for creating awareness on how to tackle terror strikes. The students will be imparting training to youths of degree colleges, through whom we intend to reach out to masses for spreading wareness," Gujarat ATS Chief Ajay Tomar said.
"A curriculum shall also be developed that details the do's and don'ts during a terror strike," he said.
Inspired by the course Globalising Resurgent India Through Innovative Transformation (GRIT) started by former president A P J Abdul Kalam, the students of the B-school will be going full swing in creating awareness about the issue.
"We have studied about terror closely in GRIT and shall now get a chance to translate it into action," General Secretary Students Council of IIM-A, Srijan Pal Singh told PTI.
