India's final preparation for the under-19 cricket World Cup passed without any hiccup as Dav Whatmore's colts tamed their English counterparts by six wickets in a warm-up match on Tuesday.
Saurabh Tiwary's unbeaten 98 bailed India out of the woods after the side, chasing England's total of 219 for 8 at the Royal Military College, had run into troubled waters after losing three wickets with the score reading just seven.

Saurabh's 98 not out came off 115 balls and included 11 fours and three sixes.
Tanmay, who had earlier claimed two English wickets, made 57.
Earlier, Dan Redfern (74) and Ben Brown (40) shared a 113-run partnership for the sixth wicket to prop up 1998 champion England, which had lost its top half for just 95.
For India, captain Virat Kohli (2-40) and all-rounder Tanmay (2-36) were successful with the ball.
In other matches, defending champion Pakistan beat Bangladesh by five wickets, Malaysia defeated Papua New Guinea by 59 runs, while New Zealand thumped Ireland by 181 runs.
