Police said the charges made by Thakur were not proved during the probe.

A letter on similar lines was on Thursday evening handed over to Amitabh Thakur's wife, social activist Nutan Thakur.

Disagreeing with the findings and the abrupt closure of the complaint, Amitabh Thakur told IANS on Friday: "The letter gives no reasons for its conclusion which seems to have been drawn superficially, quite visibly under pressure."

"I shall now move the CJM's (chief judicial magistrate's )court in this matter," he added.

After FIR was not registered by Hazratganj police on July 11, Thakur had sent an application to SSP Lucknow Rajesh Pandey under section 154(3) CrPC on Wednesday.

Thakur was serving as inspector general (IG) Civil Defence and now has been attached with the director general of police (DGP) office.
