J&K encounter on, 1 militant killed

The gunbattle started last night at Warpora-Sopore, 60 km from Srinagar as militants hiding in a house opened fire on the joint search party of police and army.
A militant and a policeman were killed in an ongoing encounter in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, a police spokesman said.
Ten security force personnel, including four army jawans and three policemen, were injured in the initial cross-fire which began last night between security forces and two militants holed up in a house in Baramulla district.

A militant was killed and one policeman succumbed to his injuries early on Wednesday in the firefight that was going on when last reports were received.
