Jawad denounces terrorists

NOTED SHIA cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawad criticised terrorists, saying they did not belong to any religion and the whole world should condemn their acts. He was addressing a Mushaira organised at Fatak Taki Ali in Mukeemganj area to mark the 50th anniversary of the religious event, ?Gauhar-e-Shab Charaag-e-Ismat?.

“What sort of justice is this, that America is supporting the terrorist activities of Israel?” he asked. Jawed also released a collection of poems by Prof Sayed Badrul Hasan Abdi.

Former Head of the Arabic Department in Banaras Hindu University Maulana Prof Sayed Badrul Hassan Abdi presided over the function. Prof SA Hassan Abidi of the Persian Department in Jawaharlal Nehru University welcomed the guests.

Prominent among others who were present on the occasion were Prof Ali Ul Hasan Rizvi of Abdul Aziz University (Saudi Arab), Dr Wazir Hasan of Arabic Department (BHU) and Dr Shamsul Hasan. Arshi Warsi conducted the programme. Khawar Rizvi, Hasan Wasti and Nazmi Faijabadi proposed a formal vote of thanks.

Noted poets Moziz Jalalpuri, Shamim Amrohvi, Naseem Jaunpuri, Dr Jafar Azmi, Mazid Banarasi, Nazeer Bakari, Shakeel Hasan Shamshi, Mohsin Ali and Hilal Naqvi recited their compositions.
