Kasliwal seeks permission to return to Mumbai
The court had given him liberty to apply for relaxation in the restriction once the chargesheet was filed.
Abhishek Kasliwal, accused of raping a 52-year-old woman in his car on March 11, on Monday approached the Bombay High Court seeking relaxation in his bail condition and permission to return to Mumbai.
The High Court had released him on bail on April 18 with a condition that he should not enter the city during the pedency of the trial. He has been living in Delhi since then.
But the court had given him liberty to apply for relaxation in the restriction once the chargesheet was filed.
Since the chargesheet in the case has been filed, Kasliwal has urged the court to relax the condition, promising that he would be "under the supervision and guidance of his parents in Mumbai."
He has also said that he wanted to assist his father Ambuj Kasliwal -- owner of Sriram Mills -- in his business, so his return to the city was essential.
