Lalu's hearing in fodder case deferred till Mar 22
Lalu's counsel said that the Railway Minister was exempted from appearing as the Parliament was in session.
Lalu Prasad's hearing in one of the cases of the fodder scam has been deferred till March 22 by a special CBI court.
All accused, except Prasad, had turned up following orders of the court.
Appearing on behalf of CBI, senior public prosecutor AH Khan urged the designated CBI judge Munilal Paswan to take up the hearing of the discharge petitions of all other accused simultaneously.
Former Bihar chief minister Jagannath Mishra, retired IAS officers Beck Julius, Phoolchand Singh, ruling JD(U) MLA Jagdish Shrama, RJD MP RK Rana and former MLA Dhruv Bhagat were present in the court.
Conspicuous by his absence was the Railway Minister, whose counsel CR Sinha claimed that the special court had exempted his client from his appearance in person as the Parliament was in session.
