Low key poll in M'rashtra

An approximate two to five per cent of electorate cast their votes within first two hours of second phase of polling.

An approximate two to five per cent of the 3.36 crore electorate cast their votes today within the first two hours of second phase of polling in 24 Lok Sabha constituencies in Maharashtra which commenced on a low key amidst tight security, state election office sources said.

Prominent among the early voters were the Speaker of dissolved Lok Sabha Manohar Joshi, Congress' nominee from Mumbai (north-west) Sunil Dutt and the party's candidate from Mumbai (south) Milind Deora.

Before casting his vote at Vanitha Samaj at Shivaji Park, Joshi offered prayers at the Siddhivinayak Temple. Sunil Dutt exercised his franchise at Bandra.
