Lt Gen D?Cunha visits ordnance units

LT GEN TA D?Cunha, PVSM, ADC, Director General of Ordnance Services and Senior Colonel Commandant accompanied by Mrs Iona D?Cunha visited the ordnance units of Allahabad station on May 22.

The General Officer was briefed by Col Rajvir Singh, Commandant, Central Ordnance Depot, Chheoki and Col JP Tiwari, Commandant, Ordnance Depot Fort, Allahabad about the departmental and administrative functioning of their depots.
The General Officer expressed happiness at the material support provided by both the units to the user units. He expected all ranks to put in their best and ensure 100 per cent availability of stores to user units.

Iona D’Cunha interacted with all ordnance ladies of Allahabad Station and made them aware about the importance of officers wives’ role in Army Wives’ Welfare Association (AWWA) activities and guided them on various ways the JCOs/OR wife could be made self-reliant and independent, said SM Sharma Wing Commander, Public Relations Officer, Ministry of Defence, Allahabad in a Press release issued on Monday.
