Manmohan meets Speaker Somnath Chatterjee

The meeting comes a day after the veteran Marxist was expelled from the CPI(M) for refusing to quit the Speaker's chair after the party withdrew support to the UPA Govt.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Thursday met Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee, a day after the veteran Marxist was expelled from the CPI(M) for refusing to quit after the party withdrew support to the UPA.
Singh, who drove to Chatterjee's residence here this morning, did not speak to the waiting reporters after the meeting that lasted about 10 minutes.
