"There is no no question of aligning with the BJP or to extend support to the saffron party-led NDA in the 14th Lok Sabha," she told an election rally at Phulpur, about 40 kms from here.

Apart from the scam issue, Mayawati said there were several other serious issues which stopped her from joining the BJP and alleged that the Saffron party-led Government tried to tamper with the secular fabric of the Indian constitution and scrap reservations for the SC/STs by setting up the constitution review committee.

The former chief minister, who had twice formed the government in the state in coalition with the BJP, said she would get back at the party whenever given an opportunity for having "implicated" her in the Taj Heritage Corridor scam.

Alleging that the BJP had tried to intimidate her by threatening to frame her in the scam vis-a-vis the CBI enquiry, she said she was not to be cowed down by such threats.

The BSP supremo also sought to justify her stand of not aligning with the Congress either as the party was not ready to withdraw support to the SP government in UP.

Charging the Congress with being ideologically oriented against the Dalits, Mayawati said the former could not be forgiven for denying the founder of Indian constitution B R Ambedkar entry into Parliament by pitting its Secretary against him in Lok Sabha elections in 1950s.

The BSP National President also tried to dispel charges that it was a casteist party saying she had not only given Lok Sabha tickets to the representatives of the upper castes, but also accomodated many of them in her government in the state.

During her day-long tour of the district, Mayawati addressed three rallies in various parts of the district in favour of party nominees Kesri Devi Patel (Phulpur), R K Singh Patel (Allahabad), and Vachaspati (Chail reserved).
