Shivpal Yadav has promised villagers agricultural land will not be acquired for development of residential colonies by Gorakhpur Development Authority (GDA).

He promised that the SP candidate’s victory in the election would open the floodgates of development in the region.

He was addressing a series of public meetings at Belghat, Ranidiha, Piprauli and Khorabar areas. Panchayat Ram Minister Balram Yadav highlighted various schemes of the State Government and claimed the SP had a vision for development and prosperity, which other political parties lacked.

Minister for Higher Education Ramashray Vishwakarma appealed to residents of Kauriram to support Rambhual Nishad, as the SP Government had given top priority to education and health. MLC Ganesh Shanker Pandey, Kamlesh Paswan, Dr PK Rai, Purnamasi Dehati and various others leaders organised a series of meetings and said the SP’s victory in the by-election would open a new chapter in the politics of eastern UP.

Meanwhile, Vishwa Hindu Parishad Rakesh Singh Pahelwan national organising secretary has demanded a check on alleged misuse of the official machinery.

He said due to presence of an array of ministers, SP MLAs and MPs, the possibility misuse of power could not be ruled out.
