Missing foreign tourists rescued in JK

Three tourists, including two foreign nationals, who had gone missing in the skiing resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir, have been rescued by police, an official spokesman said in Srinagar today.

"Police Station Gulmarg received information that two foreign nationals and one Indian national have gone missing from skiing site at Affarvat. In this regard a joint search operation was launched by Police and Tourism Department," the spokesman said.

He said all the three tourists were rescued at Manwar-Behak near Watpathri in Gulmarg. The tourists, who went missing on the evening of January 28, were found "safe and sound" last evening.

The three were identified as Onderej Aboley from Czech Republic, US national Robert Mitchel and Prithvi Singh Gill from New Delhi.
