Mumbai youth absconds after raping mother

A youth allegedly raped his mother while a man was arrested in Mumbai for repeatedly raping his daughter.

In an appalling incident a youth allegedly raped his mother while a man was arrested for repeatedly raping his daughter over the past six months, police said in Mumbai on Wednesday.

24-year-old Anmol Damdi Kamble of Parvati Nagar in South Mumbai allegedly raped his 60-year-old mother while she was alone at home and taking bath, police said.

She lodged a complaint with Ajni police on Tuesday, which has launched a manhunt for the youth who is absconding.

In another incident, a minor girl was allegedly raped by her father, police said.

40-year-old Ashraf Ali Ansari from Pili Nadi area in North-east Mumbai had been raping his 11-year-old daughter over the past six months, they said.

However, Ansari was only arrested on Tuesday after the girl's mother lodged a complaint with police, they added.
