No threat to India-S Africa Test: UP Police
Uttar Pradesh police says tight security arrangements have been made for the match.
Ruling out reports of any terrorist threat to the third Test between India and South Africa in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh police on Wednesday said tight security arrangements have been made for the match.
"We have made elaborate security arrangements for the Test match starting April 11. Close circuit televisions have been installed at all sensitive points at the stadium. As a security measure people will not be allowed to take water bottles and mobile phones inside the stadium," Additional Director General Brijlal told reporters in Lucknow.
Ruling out reports that there were any intelligence inputs regarding threat from terrorists to teams, Brijlal said besides Landmark hotel, where teams were staying tight security was in place for players as well.
