None of Amar Singh's 360 candidates win any seat

Rashtriya Lok Manch, the party floated by Amar Singh, one time close confidante of SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, drew a blank in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections as none of its 360 candidates was able to win any seat.

Singh had fielded 360 candidates across UP of his year-old party and had campaigned hard with Jaya Prada, a former SP Lok Sabha member.

He addressed several meetings where he attacked Yadav and supported the cause of Muslims.
But apparently, it failed to influence voters of UP who gave a thumping majority to SP.
On 6 January 2010, Singh had resigned as general secretary of the party as well as from its parliamentary board and as its spokesperson following sharp differences with Yadav.
